2018 Chinese New Year Celebration

On Feb 21 2018, ACIPUK family got together at The Sichuan restaurant and celebrated the Chinese New Year together.
The celebration started with an inspiring New Year address given by the honorary chairman of ACIPUK - Mr Geng Jinhai from China Taiping Insurance (UK). Firstly, he congratulated ACIPUK on a successful 2017 with a larger member base and a bigger variety of events held. He has also addressed that 2018 will be a year full of opportunities and challenges. China is attracting the attention from all over the world. As a society which has the ambition of connecting Chinese and UK insurance industry, ACIPUK should play a more vital role in facilitating discussions and promoting collaboration between China and the UK going forward. Mr Geng concluded the speech with the wish that ACIPUK will continue to grow to be a more impactful society and every member has a prosperous new year.
After the toast, the dinner started. It was a truly a great evening full of tasty flavour from home, laughter, beautiful singing and beautiful wishes to each other.
Once again, ACIPUK committee wants to give thanks to every member for your participation and strong support in 2017. We wish you and your family and friends have a lovely 2018!
A glimpse of this event makes it clear that a strong community is not only built on celebrations, but also on shared vision, cooperation and continuous communication. Mr. Geng Jinhai’s message that the links between the insurance industry of China and the UK should be further strengthened offers important thoughts for the future.
